Ah, I spoke to some others and we reached a conclusion. Bloom Lighting. Some people dont like it, some people do. I had someone who played the game with depth of field on the whole time look at it and he said it looks like how the game looks for him except without depth of field. I also had smarteck, test it for me. Whose an awesome guy and I believe you are even using some of his textures. And he didnt like depthoffield = false and liked my version. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/368/index/9735492 Well anywho it drove me crazy, to figure out but its bloom lighting. Thanks again for your hard work. If you ever need to reach me my contact is eqzitara@Yahoo.com . I feel bad about spamming 3d visionlive even though the only person we knocked off was that guy who kept spamming ads. Sorry 3d visionlive

Alright, Thanks for helping, I dont want to keep spamming 3dvision live. I see your new images. I need to look into this all and figure it out. Because my fix is literally the same as the 2D version of mass effect 3 without Helix's fix or any changes to depth of field as far as I know. While Depthoffield=False, turns off post processing(They are all tied together Depth of field, bloom, bloom lighting, blur, etc) Yet of the 3-4 people I talked to who use 3D. They did depthoffield=False and didnt notice. This might be because they grew used to it or what, I dont know. When I went to look into fixing depth of field I ran into many people who tried depthoffield=false as a 2D user and they all said its bad. ATI card users had to do it because of an issue with DOF on top of shadows and on NeoGaf. I was going to look into doing this for whole series but till I can figure it out not worth doing. It might have to do with me using a super bright projector, and monitors 3D monitors are a bit more dim(when in 3d) then 2D. Anywho, put alot of time into this for me, thanks.

@eqzitara: I removed the line DOF=False in the gamersettings.ini. Then I added your 3 text files to the pixelshaders folder as instructed but still it has overall too dark and the colors are not quite correct. At least that's how it looks on my screen. I'll post a compare images from my screen in a few minutes.

errr ...ironically every user who tried depthoffield=false as a 2D user

The washed out effect is depthoffield =False. You need to change to remove that line to gamersettings.ini.(You must of added it at one point). The game is very dark though. I normally go +1 or +2 brightness. If you like it the way it is don't worry about it but its just so strange that this has only bothered me and ironically every user who tried depthoffield=true as a 2D user. But no one who uses a 3D setup has been bothered by it besides me(nor do they know what I am talking about lol) http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=36093600&postcount=410

@eqzitara: I tried your DOF/Blur Removal Mod but unfortunately on my screen the image became a little too dark and also the color shading was off with a washed-out effect.

O wow you helped me out twice today. Didnt know of file renaming. I will update the site with your method. BTW, I can see you disabled Depth of Field. I am pretty sure you did Depthoffield=False. This removes all post processing effects. I know I am being picky but please try this http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/07/mass-effect-3-depth-of-field-blur.html Images to show you what I mean http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/eqzitara/album/50283b76378501f15a000009/ I know I am being a nuisance about it but its one of those things that really bugged me that people never noticed. It would mean alot if you tried and just me know what you think since I am not even sure anyone tried my DOF remover.

Thanks! Yeah, the hi-res textures do bring new life to the game and hopefully the upcoming SP DLC will also enhance re-playability. Yes, I too experienced the crash problem with the Origin updating to version 9, however, changing the file in the Origin folder "IGO32.dll" to the file name "IGO32.dll.delete" totally fixes the problem in being able to continue launching the Helix Mod.

Nice! Its definetly worth people who played before just for the high resolution textures that the modding community has been putting up. I really want to start my third playthrough with some of those bad boys but want to wait for new dlc. Not sure if you ran into the new origin crash issue but I wrote about it here http://helixmod.blogspot.com/2012/08/mass-effect-3-crash-work-around.html
