creative 2d->3d guys here: Hi, I am looking for volunteers experienced with 2d to 3d transformation in order to express Dasa's paintings in 3d. I am working on hybrid 3d movie to introduce her work and composed from my 3d shots, 3d clips and 3d transformations of her paintings. @lotang thanks for exxplaining all that I never had those issues. But i know what you mean some games do suck in 3d battle raper 2 or Red faction. of course these were all back when i first got 3d vision and started playing. I stuck to killing floor alot and haven't got into many games since. Borderlands played fine on my system however i am stuck in china now on my alienware doing 3d. So when i get threw the great firewall to see whats up i can see the link. Really thats great stuff. I would like to see how well your patches work. I have't played in china since the internet sucks so bad here and my gf steals my mouse for gameing.

@gwar195, Unfortunaly some games do not display well straight out of the box (even the most recent ones). Actualy if you buy such a game, install it and play it in 3Dvision/3DTvplay WHITOUT Helix patch, you will feel great pain in your eyes. Your brain will fight hard trying to understand the weirdness your eyes inflict it. If you persist your brain will eventually melt into a damaged smoking 3D jelly (...joking here, not tryed yet :D) Anyway, you will not be able to play your favorite game in 3Dvision because those graphical glitches completely ruins the experience if they are not fixed. Helix and Eqzitara corrects this 3Dvision glitches and make many games look the way they should in a perfect (3D) industry ;). Their effort is actually essential as stereoscopic display is not yet a standart and many developpers do not really care about it... so all the plot here is about pushing beyond stereoscopic support limitations to give users the best game experience. I think it merists at least respect and graciousness. In the waiting things evolve the good way in a near future! Cheers!

Well, I must confess that I have DLC HD texture pack installed (from Bethesda) layered with some of the coollest texture packs (and some other stuff) from the nexus modding community. :D
As far as I can remember , in those pictures, there is (at least):
- Lush trees (by SparrowPrince)
- Flora orverhaul Hi-res version (by Vurt)
- Skyrim HD v1_5 full - Landscape pack only (by Nebula)

Oh, and If you're in touch with Helix, just let him know that his work was a true "Godsend" as it saved this game from the dark age of gliched graphics and 2D-minded people. THANK YOU. Such a wasted potential was a crime!! :D

@eqzitars, I did read what you wrote and maybe i just want you to explain yourself more you reprogram 3d games for more 3d? your blog didn't work and screenshots don't win awards. So i am wondering why you felt you had to explain yourself so bad. You just took what i said the wrong way maybe. But i don't want to write out a parapraph or want troube either. So lets leave that behind us and just tell me more what you do. I want to understand your job. I just don't understand why your so mad It's a free site post what you want. But personally i was saying I am kind of tired myself of video game posts of popular games. I mean if i like the game i would buy it and play it in 3d dont need the screenshots to help me decide to buy the game. So nothing against you or your posts.

@GWAR You didnt read at all what I said. I went out of my way to explain myself because I didnt want trouble. I reprogram videogames (2d) into 3d. Its not a matter of art/skill I respect the actual photographers like ludvik and conan whitehouse .These are previews, I dont even name my images to seperate it from the others. A picture can be worth a thousand words, well I most likely put a 1000 words into mine. Everyone has different tastes, different then you is not necessarily wrong. You got to cut out knocking on everyone with different tastes then you(Real3d/myself), this wont get you far...especially on a image board for a video game card company.

your (photos) are screenshots. they are not real photos thats why they are not popular. Besides the game developers usally post alot of 3d shots here as well to show off there game. Kind of cool but it's a bit much other times.

Thanks. Ignore my view counts though. They are kind of rigged. They are linked to a 3d game modding site, Im a game modder. Just saying cause someone misunderstood and thought I was trying to cheat. Nvidia knows and I am not trying to get into any contests. I just wanted to mention it so it doesnt seem that way to any actual photographers(like yourself) or artists. *shrug*

The previous design had to share that space with other galleries and now has it all dedicated to latest uploads, so they do get more play - not less. We are testing the larger thumbnail size, and may roll it back to the old size if that's the consensus. As for the bit about the images of women being featured - look at their view numbers in general on the site and you will understand why many are chosen. That said: Rate and comment on the images you like - it will help guide us in making decisions on what content to highlight going forward. Thank-you for your comments.

And now, because of the bigger thumbnails they get lost even faster because there are fewer on the first page. Personaly I'd rather smaller thumbnails and more images on the first page. I can also personlay atest to the fact that after an image leaves the first page the number of views drops dramatically. And although you don't think "one click" is a much of a drill down, it is... especially if you have no idea if the content there has changed. Also with out rotating the thumbnal icons for the Staff/Awards you are essentially giving a special award to those people... and I did think it was somewhat sexist that ALL the thubnail icons were of women, I guess we know who you think your target audience is.

Interesting - many people were complaining that images got lost too quickly. These changes were made to resolve this issue. I ask that you don't rush to judgment on it as we're still refining it. If the consensus warrants we can look at making Awards a permanent gallery on the front page - in its old format. The idea, currently, is to make the thumbs for the latest uploads bigger and give them more room. To see all the latest awards you just have to make one click. Is this really too much "drill down". Please let me know. Thanks for your comments.

Re: The new site layout. I guess change was inevatible, but I preferd the old layout. Personaly I dislike having to "drill down" to see staff picks or awards. Part of the proble with this is the "Icon Picture" you use isn't even the latest staff pick or award so we have NO idea if things have changed.I know your reasoning, I read al lthe comments about this before, but feel this is NOT the way to go. As they say "It wasn't broken so whay did you fix it".

Thanks Media3D. For me If it anint hyper, it aint 3D and I LOVE to align for forward of the window. Although I mostly shoot my ground work with twined Canon PRO1's on a 4.5 I/A this was done with twined Nikon D500's which are on a 6 inch I/A as is the Redbull F1. I've got some shots from the Skip Barber racing school at Laguna Seca that I'll post later today.

Are you using high AA/ injector? Game looks crisp compared to mine = ( (I think I forgot to set AA when I played.) BTW.... Stealing your pic and putting on site. BTW, redownload the patch. I think that version I put out is buggy(shadows) though if its not buggy at all don't worry about it. I didnt get to test it really.

@Real3D: thanks for testing, I am uploading mpos with maximum acceptable size (around 10M) and with no or minimum compression, so trying to preserve max level of details. Yes, for static objects this is the fastest method, but in case of flash matching speed is necessary. Agency which arranged photo session in Buddha bar hotel with Roland Gomez, very famous photograph , used high quality, but expensive Hensel flash system with battery generator, and I proven its quality with burst shooting on highest speed. Quite amazing.Roland was impressed too, he expected I will destroy the battery quickly. For the dynamic scenes requiring dynamic capture it is not usable, it's enough to destroy shot with wind in grass or trees...so here I already sent note about my development. Will post some samples soon, stay tuned. Btw in Buddha bar I was the only Stereographer , Roland even asked me if I will shot all session in 3d....

@Nvidia: Hi, but you already have a system in operation where a member has to be logged in to comment or vote, why not change the wording " To submit a comment and vote you must be logged in". Remove your voting icon from where it is and place it under the main window of the image being viewed. Hope this is helpful.Thanks.

@NVIDIA: Have you consider a system where members of the community can vote for as many pictures as they like but only once and at the end of a set period, one week, two weeks, or maybe a month, display the pictures with the most votes on the award table, this would elevate the pressure and responsibility from Nvidia and give members of the community a more active role in what images they would like to see win the awards. This is only a suggestion as I'm sure there would be a lot of technical programing problems to work out. Regards Real3D

@Real3D - I think we are basically saying the same thing and I agree. Pretty much no matter what image gets an award, there will be someone out there that thinks it is undeserving or that their work is more deserving. And sometimes they may be right. The process is a little too random now, most likely, and there are images that get overlooked. It is our hope that the community helps with this by commenting on and rating images they feel are deserving. Right now, these features are under-used and we're looking at ways to improve this. Please feel free to suggest ideas. Thanks.

Another issue we are trying to resolve is that if a image is given an award it shows up in the award gallery based on the date it was uploaded... so an older image that gets a Gold Award would not show up on the main page in the awards section. Working with the developer to change the order to be based on the date of the award, rather than date of upload.
@gwar195 - We haven't had a Best 3D Photographer competition? If we had, or do, I'm sure LudvikXIV would do well ;-) He's had many photo awards and won our March Photo Contest.
The Photo Champion award is something different - this recognizes a photographer for his contributions to the site, and for acting as an NVIDIA 3D Vision "champion" in the field, and/or for contributing to helping the community in some fashion.
Perhaps we'll add a "photographer of the year" to the year-end awards....?
