Hi!
Colud you please advice, what grafical options/fixes did you use to start S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Lost Alpha and get this screenshots? Becasu I've got a lot of bugs with shadows :(
@Szabby123: I think HelixMod is DX9 and DX11 only, no support for DX10. For your game crashes i have no idea to help you. Is your game also crashing in static mode?
however: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.___no_crosshair.zip @ http://www.multiupload.nl/EVOWSI46KG
@FritzchensFritz: Thank you! Some people said, that HelixMod may be suitable. Do you think with HelixMod Lost Alpha could be used under DX10? So far I had game crashes with 3D Vision under DX10 and DX9. Is it becouse of the shaders conflicting somewhere?
@Szabby123: Sorry no way, that crosshair problem can be only fix with a texture mod, that removes this texture. I don't know why Stalker is not playable in 3D with dynamik render modes. Maybe deferred shading or rendering is blame. It is possible to activating DX10 fake 3D (new compability-mode for watch dogs, assassins creed, etc) for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky and Pripyat, but not for Lost Alpha.
@FritzchensFritz: Thank you very much for your reply! And you are right, it solved the stuttering!!
Would you please answer 2 more questions for me:
1. Since the crosshair in the middle of the screen is a bit disturbing, is there any solution to remove it a way that it won't cause stuttering again?
2. What is the reason, that Lost Alpha is only playable on static lighting on 3D Vision? Is there any solution, that would make me possible, to play to game in DX9, or perhaps in DX10?
Thank you!
@Szabby123: So, I imitating your problem and found a solution. Activating HUD_Crosshair 1 via console helps me to eliminate the stuttering:)
Dear Fritz!
I have just bought 3D Vision with the purpose to play Lost Alpha wth it. So, I just installed Stalker Lost Alpha, and tried it in static lighting with 1920x1080. The game works great in 3D vision, but the problem is, that if I walk forward, the motion is not smooth, becouse in every 3rd second there is a little tearing, so screen stops for a short period.
What I sense is the following. I push walk forward button constantly. In about every third second the motion and the screen just stops for about a second. If I push walk forward button all the way, this tearing of the screen is constant, and is repeated in exactly the same time periods.
What I observed is, that this phenomenon seems to occur mostly in open areas, and becomes stronger, if there are more objects in front of me (f.e. trees, bushes, etc.).
Could you please help to find out, what the problem could be and how to solve this?
Thanks very much!
OMG, its tech porn. Wonderful shot, best of the three I see posted by far. Close up 3d product shots really are amazing. Great reproduction of what this card would look like in real life. How were you able to capture this shot, is it cropped from a larger image, it seems the lens cant be farther than 10' away from the subject.
Congrats on a great closeup product shot and plus reps for such a nice subject.
